As a retired professional baker I highly recommend the Beast. I have it permanently placed in my oven for any baking an other purposes, I do bake 3 to 4 times per week and have to say that is has greatly improved my baking, Kind of like in a professional oven. Not only the steel plate, but also the other baking items offered are second to none. The service is world-class and the delivery is super fast. If I now just could find a steel container for the water to generate steam during the beginning of the baking process…
I absolutely love my baking steel - it has allowed me to bake 4 loaves of sourdough bread at a time making it the perfect addition to my sourdough microbakery. I preheat the steel for an hour before baking my loaves and with the addition of steam using lava rocks, the bread turns out beautifully ever single time. Zero burned bottoms and perfectly golden tops! The steel also works great for at home pizzas and takes your crust to the next level. I highly recommend this product to anyone, but especially to bakers who are looking to increase their capacity without a commercial bread oven!
